HR Interview Questions
1. How would you describe yourself? Tell me about yourself ?
ANS) I am good at using judgement and logic in solving problem.[be prepared with eg:]. Efficient in working alone or any size of team. I perform best when i get some independent module within team. Strong technically and good team player.
2. Why do you want to leave present company?
I am not actively looking out for new opprtunities. I just happened to speak to one friend who works for your company/read details on your website and came to know about some intersting work happening in field of XYZ. In addition to this I am aware that your company has strong presense in various dmains and has lot of projects, this will give me more options to learn new things.
3. What do you see yourself doing five years from now? Ten years from now?
I have worked with several technology so far and would be intersted in learning more. I believe I would be playing role of senior technology architech or execute some important assignment.
4. How well do you work with people? Do you prefer working alone or in teams?
I like both the things. But its always great to have independent module on your list and at the same time keep in touch with whole team to share knowledge and best practices.
5. Have you ever had difficulty with a supervisor? How did you resolve the conflict?
I never had any conflicts outside of technology. If at all i had any strong discussion, they were related towards making work situation better.
6. What do you consider to be your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
Strengths:
taking responsibilities.
good team player.
work proactively under stressed situation
weakness:
sometimes i take time to decide priority of items at work, in such situation i prefer to discuss tings with my manager etc
7 How would a good friend describe you?
Hard working. [if they ask why do u say so....answer..becos there were few recent occasion when i was working late nights and on conf. calls while they were having fun]
8. What would your last boss say about your work performance?
Responsible. proactive
9. What motivates you to go the extra mile on a project or job?
Good plan of action. And support from team.
10. Why should I hire you?
I am technology savy. I am aware of work conditions for some software company like yours and also know how to interact with business people n tis domain.
11. Do you have any hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
12. Do you consider yourself a leader?
Yes. Although I never had title of "Team Lead" but I have always taken initiative do solve work related issues and make sure that everyone in team is happy.
13. Describe the workload in your current (or most recent) job.
Most of the time we had good planning, except for few situations when some employee was quiting and all of sudden the work load increased. I had to undergo series of k.t sessions in short period of time.
14. Do you have plans for continued study? An advanced degree?
I would love to do Management studies but after few years, at this point of time I am more inclined to learn more into technology and become strong technology contributor.
15. In what kind of work environment are you most comfortable?
Well I dont think I have much issues in adapting to new environment. Its alway great to work in team structutre where there is no hierarchical barriers.
16. What are your expectations regarding promotions and salary increases?
I am expecting 120k salary and [senior developer or Analysts role]
17. Do you have a geographic preference? Why? 18. Are you willing to relocate? 19. Are you willing to travel for the job?
